Ayurveda is the traditional healing system of India and is considered one of the oldest systems in the world dating back 6,000 years. Ayurveda, meaning the science of life, is wholistic in nature and looks at the body/mind connection working together to create optimal healing. This connection is affected by what you eat, what you do and the changes that occur in your environment.

These practical ways of living are as useful now as they were back then.

Ayurveda is complex in its healing with a common sense approach making it assessable to everyone! This makes it easier to understand and bring it into our daily life as a preventative healing system. I love how I feel when I am following my diet and lifestyle routines based on my current constitutional state. My digestion, elimination and emotional states are healthy, I am able to sleep better, have more focus and steady energy throughout the day.

Ayurveda sees our very unique constitutional state consisting of five elements and three doshas or humours. These doshas are Vata, Pitta and Kapha and everyone has a combination of all three.

As an Ayurveda Wellness Counselor and Herbalist, I will take a wholistic approach that focuses on diet and lifestyle changes within the seasonal changes of life. This is how we balance the doshas.

We sit, drink tea and talk about your wellness concerns, your history and current day to day activities. During the session I will be gathering information to make a proper assessment of your current dosha imbalance.  Then I will recommend diet, lifestyle and herbal remedies to help bring your current state into balance.

I enjoy working with clients on an individual basis, because we are all different in how we see, feel and process healing. To me, a good practice includes time for listening and feedback.

I will do my best to guide you along and help you find ways to balance your life, so that it can be healthy, full & joyous!

It’s important to be patient throughout this process allowing yourself the space and time to make these changes. Sometimes unpeeling the layers takes time.

During follow up sessions, we look at the changes that have occurred and recommendations are adjusted in consideration of that.

I look forward to working with you,
